These are my favorite acne fighting products by Clinique:
Acne Solutionsโข Clarifying Lotion
Of all Clinique skincare products this toner is my favorite. It contains:
– Salicylic Acid and Acetyl Glucosamine to exfoliate and keep pores clean, – Caffeine to shrink blood vessels
– Silica to absorbs excess oil
– Witch hazel which has potent anti-inflammatory properties (it has gallic acid and tannins, and antioxidants).
– Butylene Glycol which is a preservative, solvent, and humectant. Despite bad reputation, this ingredient does not evaporate quickly like other Alcohols and actually holds water to the skin.
The downside is that this toner does contain Alcohol dent which is a very harmful pro-aging ingredient.
Acne Solutionsโข Clinical Clearing Gel
It contains: – Salicylic Acid to exfoliate and keep pores clean – Witch hazel which has potent anti-inflammatory properties
– Butylene Glycol to moisturize the skin
– Alcohol dent
They recommended to use this gel all over the face! Well that is not a great idea, it feels and looks like clear glue on your face! Spot-apply at night
Acne Solutions Emergency Gel-Lotion
I believe this product has been discontinued. Too bad! This happened to be very effective and fast for spot treatment. It contains 5% Benzoyl peroxide which is quite strong.
