This face oil is formulated with Marula oil and Neroli extract. Marula oil offers antioxidants, hydrates the skin and is claimed to help restore a radiant tone and Neroli extract provides some anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and toning properties.
This oil is lighter than Terre Noire, itโs more like a dry oil. It absorbs in a few minutes and has an incredible sweet Neroli scent. Actually the scent is intense so if you donโt like these types of scents, keep that in mind! I only apply 2 drops of this oil after using my Ayuna exfoliating toner and my African Botanics Infusion hydrating serum (while still wet) at night, itโs not greasy at all, does not clog pores, balances my combination skin and leaves it hydrated, plump and soft. Some points:
๐. This oil/serum works great to calm and avoid flaky skin while using stronger retinoids.
๐. I honestly can’t tell if a product is going to irritate my skin unless I try it! My skin sometimes reacts to scented products; this oil did not cause me any irritation or inflammation.
๐. If you have acne prone/oily skin I suggest using a slightly damp cotton pad and press face oils to your face with it, I know it might waste some product but the pad absorbs the excess oil while you still get the benefits of it, and this is how it works best for me; give it a try!
In summary, the Neroli infused Marula Oil is a lightweight, high quality face oil which hydrates and promotes a luminous, complexion without feeling heavy. Recommended to everyone.
